HRH Queen Mother Amina Temitope Labinjo-Ajayi, JP, FIIM

Known widely as “Mama Diaspora”, Queen Mother Ajayi is a Nigerian American business consultant, accountant, social entrepreneur and philanthropist. For decades she has championed diaspora engagement, women's economic empowerment, youth development and food security in Nigeria and the United States.

She chairs Silicon Valley – Nigerian Economic Development Inc., founded the Nigerian American Agricultural Empowerment Program and is Honorary Chairman of the Global Connections for Women Foundation. As President of the All-Nigerian American Congress she advocated for diaspora voting rights and stronger ties between Nigerians at home and abroad.

Her public service began in Lagos State as Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor (1991–1993). In 2014 she was a delegate to Nigeria's National Conference. Her honours include multiple US President's Volunteer Service Gold Awards, a Congressional award, honorary citizenship of Arkansas and the Keys to Little Rock and Dyersville, which proclaimed 16 July “Nigerian Friendship Day”.

    In Nigeria he held senior roles on the Shagamu Cement Factory, Satellite Town, Mobil Oil facilities and major industrial complexes, and was a Director of Julius Berger Nigeria PLC as the Lagos State Government's board representative. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineers.

He is the Founder of WESOnline, an AI-powered talent marketplace that connects companies, professional bodies and schools for guided mentorship, experiential learning and virtual internships. WESOnline is the Competence Assessment Technology Partner for the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) and the Digital Academy Partner for the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

    Before this he was Chief Talent Officer for Chase, leading C-suite succession, skills and talent development for more than 150,000 employees at JPMorgan Chase globally.

    At General Electric he was Chief Talent Officer for the GE Power (Vernova) business and CHRO for GE International Markets in Sub-Saharan Africa, after roles at Ericsson in technology services, talent management and HR strategy across 43 African countries.

    He represents the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy as Global Mentoring Lead Partner for the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme, with Data Science Nigeria and Google.org, and is Technical Advisor to the Office of STEMM Programs and Corporate Sector Engagement at the Federal Ministry of Education. He is the principal author of The Employability and Entrepreneurial Skills Index (TEESI), Africa's first standardised employability and venture-readiness diagnostic.

    He holds bachelor's and postgraduate degrees in software engineering, an MBA from Imperial College London, and an MSEd and Executive Doctorate (EdD) in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. He leads the Steam Innovation Foundation and serves on the board of Penn's Graduate School of Education.
